Norwegian composer and pianist, Edvard Hagerup Grieg, is born June 15, in Bergen.
Grieg is best known for his Piano Concerto in a minor, incidental music to Henrik Ibsen’s play Peer gynt which includes that haunting “Morning Mood” and stimulating “In the Hall of the Mountain King.”
